Ms. Pierrepont is a prominent writer, director, producer and financier in the entertainment industry and provides funding for real estate projects . Ms. Pierrepont studied film at L'Universite de Sorbonne in Paris , New York University Film School and the American Film Institute's Advanced Technology Program in Los Angeles . Ms. Pierrepont wrote, directed and produced the underground, anti-apartheid documentary, " Soweto 's Burning ”. She also worked with HBO affiliate Popular Arts Entertainment and served as Vice President of Development for Pilgrimage Productions , a film and multimedia company, founded by noted Sci Fi author, Robert Scheckley and writer/producer Ron Shusett . Ms. Pierrepont moved into directing with the award-winning festival-hit feature, “ Lost In The Pershing Point Hotel”, starring John Ritter, Mary Lou Henner, and Michelle Phillips. She was selected as the “Best New Director in America ” at the prestigious Director's View Film Festival for directing this film, then hired to write the $100 million dollar action thriller, “Offshore Inc.” . In 2002, Ms. Pierrepont founded Pierrepont Productions , a Hollywood-based, international film production company, and produced “ Trafficking ” , starring Nicolas Cage, “ Kill Switch ”, starring Faye Dunaway, Tony Goldwyn and Sean Young, and “ Madison ”, starring James Caveziel and Bruce Dern. Upcoming producing projects include: “Good” starring Hugh Jackman with UK producer Miriam Segal; and Robert Altman's , “ Paint ”, with producer David Levy starring Selma Hayek, James Franco , and Joaquin Phoenix . Ms. Pierrepont also wrote and will direct the award-winning: “ Book Of Dreams: The Passion Of Freud & Jung ” . “ Book Of Dreams ” was recently selected as a Finalist in the prestigious Sundance Screenplay Competition and NY IFFM market and won First Prize for “Best Screenplay” at the Los Angeles WinFemme Festival. In late 2005, Ms. Pierrepont is launching a new mini-major production partnership with financial backing of $300 million and a co-production and distribution guarantee with Warner Brothers. In related areas, Ms. Pierrepont also designed and produced the acclaimed International Artists Rights Symposium and John Huston Awards Ceremony for co-chairmen Steven Spielberg and George Lucas . Ms. Pierrepont was also recently elected Co-Chair of one of the Steering Committees of the prestigious Director's Guild of America . Ms. Pierrepont's formal education also includes studying Bio-Chemistry The University of London, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from New York 's Ithaca College . She is the youngest person ever to publish original research in the American Journal of Bio-Chemistry . Ms. Pierrepont also studied global socio-economics and indigenous tribal cultures around the world, traveling through the Middle East, Africa, Asia and South America . She is a member of the prominent New York Pierrepont family whose ancestors include Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, Peter Styvesant, J. Pierrepont Morgan, Queen Mary of France and Scotland, King James V of England, and William Comfort – the current Chairman of CitiCorp Venture Group.
